Holiday Inn Santiago – Aeropuerto
The Holiday Inn Santiago – Aeropuerto starts running again in a normal way. The rooms, the restaurant and the bar are working without restrictions. The hotel had no major damage after the earthquake, few walls needed to be painted. The elevator still works irregularly.

Holiday Inn Express – Concepcion
The Holiday Inn Express Concepcion is running in normal operation. The water supply must be repaired. Currently the water supply is ensured by watertanks.

… are working without restrictions.

 The situation in the National Park Torres del Paine, Puerto Natales, Punta Arenas and the Magallanes region is normal. The region Magellanes was fortunately not affected by the earthquake. All services are offered without restriction.

Lago Grey

The Kunza Hotel & Spa in San Pedro de Atacama told us that the whole infrastructure of the hotel is in a excellent condition. The earthquake of last Thursday, 4 March 2010, registered near Calama was only of a low intensity, so it had no impact on the hotel and its functionality.

The ship’s company “Cruceros Skorpios” informed us that their ships, port facilities and offices are operating normally. “Cruceros Skorpios” operates in Patagonia and this area is outside of the scope of the earthquake and it caused no damage.

The hotel “Patagonia Camp” as well as Patagonia in general were not affected by the earthquake. Only the satellite connection was interrupted. This will continue for several days. Infrastructure and logistics are working without restrictions, as well as the cruise ships. Air traffic has returned to normal in recent days as well.

 On Thursday, March 4th, 2010, approximately at 07.40 p.m. another earthquake happened, this time in the North of Chile. It had an intensity of 6.3 degrees on the Richter scale, and the epicentre was about 65 km northeast of Calama. Due to the very recent event in the South of the country, the moderate quake in the North first caused panic within the population, but after a few minutes people calmed down; no injured people or material damages have been reported. We also have received information from our suppliers in the North, and they report that there has been no damages at all.
