Experience and appreciate Arica, the City of Eternal Spring, with a city tour! You will begin in the beautiful city centre, where the work of Gustave Eiffel awaits: the French engineer designed the San Marcos Cathedral and the historic customs office on the main square. From here, you will continue on to the popular beaches of La Lisera and El Laucho.
Afterwards you will visit the famous Morro rock, the symbol of Arica. The Morro is a sandstone outcrop of 130m, which was stormed by the Chilean army during the war against Peru. An engaging museum highlights this important event in Chilean history, and the viewpoint on the top of the Morro offers a spectacular vista of the city, the long beaches, and the lush Lluta Valley. Travelling inland, you will come to the Azapa Valley, with a visit to the archaeological museum, which features the world’s oldest mummies. Rounding out the excursion is a visit to the local craft market.
