Some of our travelArtists visited the renowned Don Melchor winery, part of Concha y Toro, one of Chile’s most prestigious wine producers.
Don Melchor is celebrated for its premium Cabernet Sauvignon wines, consistently recognized as some of the finest in the world. Named after the founder, Don Melchor de Concha y Toro, these wines are the flagship of the company.
Founded in 1883, the Concha y Toro winery, along with the Don Melchor vineyard—featuring special plots dedicated to the production of its premium wines—is located just a few kilometers from Santiago in the Maipo Valley. This region is renowned as one of the best wine-growing areas in Chile, offering ideal conditions for cultivating Cabernet Sauvignon.
During their visit, our colleagues had the opportunity to experience the uniqueness of Don Melchor firsthand. They participated in the “Winemaker for a Day” experience, which is also available for booking through us. Guided by a sommelier, they immersed themselves in the art of winemaking, crafting their own blend from the seven plots of the Don Melchor vineyard—an unforgettable experience for any wine enthusiast.
