Santiago Airport – New area opened

The Santiago airport, which is undergoing extensive renovation and expansion work, opened the “Espigón C” area in mid-December, one of several new areas with departure gates and part of the future Terminal 2. Since from now on all international flights already start and land at “Espigón C” we would like to give you some useful recommendations to pass on to your guests to Chile.
The “Espigón C” is situated about a 10 minutes walk from the main building, where passport control and hand luggage security checks are still taking place. Passengers should be aware that all gate numbers start with “C”. Due to the reconstruction of the airport, there are personnel and logistical bottlenecks. Travelers must therefore allow for three hours to complete the check-in, pass through passport control and security, and get to the “Espigón C” area.
