Hotel José Nogueira ****

This hotel with excellent personal service is imbued with the spirit of Punta Arenas local history. Located in the heart of the city, it is housed in the mansion that once belonged to the seafarer and pioneer Don José Nogueira, and his wife Doña Sara Braun, two personalities that made a significant contribution to the history of Punta Arenas. The building and its interiors have been carefully renovated. As the original structure of the mansion was maintained, not all hotel rooms have the same size. The two dining rooms of the first class restaurant contain the original 19th century furnishings. During the summer months, it is also possible to dine in the beautiful winter garden, surrounded by plants and flowers and bathed in sunlight until as late as 11pm.
