This trekking excursion departs early in the morning from San Pedro, heading toward Laskar Volcano. On the way, you’ll take breakfast at Lejía Lagoon, before continuing on to the foot of the volcano, at an elevation of 4850 metres. With your guide, you will then start your ascent, which usually takes three to four hours. The rim of the 3 km-diameter crater, at 5600 metres, affords spectacular views, as well as the chance to observe the volcanic fumaroles inside the crater itself. Breakfast and box lunch included.
Trekking boots are recommended for this excursion, as well as warm clothing for the mountain summit, where the temperature is usually between -2 and 5 degrees C.
Good physical contition is required for this tour.
