When you go to the Lake Region by plane, make sure to get a seat on the left side, from there you have marvellous views over the volcanoes and lakes.
The Chilean Lake Region is a world of dramatic volcanoes and peaceful lakes, with the high Andes Mountains soaring in the background. Its fairy-tale scenery and unique selection of plants and animals can be easily enjoyed via hiking, climbing, rafting, riding, sailing, kayaking, fishing, and countless other outdoor activities.
There is something for everybody in the Lake Region, no matter if you want to be active, learn about the Mapuche Culture, follow the tracks of the first German Settlers or just enjoy the wonderful landscape with a good glass of wine.
