The small oasis town of San Pedro de Atacama, in the middle of the Atacama Desert, is blessed with a whole range of attractions in its vicinity, and tourists have been drawn to it for decades. The wealth of San Pedro de Atacama’s natural and archaeological highlights ranges from the El Tatio geysers to the Moon Valley, from the ancient fortress of Pucará de Quitor to the thermal springs of Puritama, and certainly includes the Padre Le Paige Museum. Fortunately, this place with its sandy streets and low adobe houses does not seem to change, and appears almost untouched by the tourists, who come here to experience the incomporable Atacama Desert.
